Born Geography By Odilia Galván Rodríguez
today I give thanks
for what has not been taken
the soul of my people
there are no borders
we can not be divided
from land that birthed us
part of the great life web
spat from her red womb
our earth mother
blue and red bled
fire-fed by hopelessness
landslide of desires
your voice in the wind
finds me far away from home
whirls around my heart
